John Nicholas Trail,Skyline Trail
Lets ride the John Nicholas Trail (JNT) and Skyline Trails mid-week to avoid the crowds. The starting point is at the JNT trailhead on Black Road. We will warm up with an easy ride out to Lake Ranch and then head up JNT and out to Indian Rock (water and restrooms fairly near here if needed) and then return. This is a fun ride and the tree-covered trail is really pretty. Parking is limited, so manage your arrival time appropriately. We'll regroup occasionally but you won't get lost. Summit photos optional but strongly encouraged for maximum bragging rights. Join us for a devilishly fun morning & a chance to say I climbed Diablo and all I got was this stinking shirt! Must download Trek Ride Club App-sign up for Dare to Diablo Challenge and record activity using app. Shirts at store may not be available at time of activity depending on number of cyclists. 07-06-2026 09:30:00 07-06-2026 11:30:00 6 ACTC: Dare To Diablo! 2 Or More Trails
Meet at 9:45 am for 10:00 departure at the Congregational Church, (west parking lot on Leigh at Hamilton). We'll make our way to the San Tomas Aquino Trail, connect to the Bay and Adobe Creek Trails (great shorebird viewing), and return via the Stevens Creek Trail. This route has about 7 miles of dirt that is absolutely suitable for road bikes with 25s. Parts are a bit bumpy, but very ridable and not necessarily worse than some pavement around. Refresh and refuel at the Pruneyard (<1 mile from the start) after. Note that e-bikes are technically and stupidly prohibited in PA Baylands, but I'll be riding mine. As are all my rides, no one left behind. 08-06-2026 10:00:00 08-06-2026 12:00:00 6 ACTC: Monday Mixed Terrain- Palo Alto Baylands 46 mi, 1 LM , 449 ft: Meet at 9:45 am for 10:00 departure at the Congregational Church, (west parking lot on Leigh at Hamilton). Cooler temps on Monday mean its possibly the perfect day for Fremont Peak-not to be confused with Mission Peak! There will be no poles to hang from, no conga line of hikers and no parking lot brawls to deal with. So come take a peek at the other Peak that most people only notice when zooming the map too far. Expect: Fremont Peak- a long climb with stunning views in every direction-except the direction your legs wish you'd chosen. After Fremont Peak its a mystery to us but I imagine its quiet pot hole roads and surprise hills that are there just to ruin our fun. So join Rosemary & Jamey for a peek at the views that may just peak your limits. A kinder, gentler BSBC for us coastally inclined cyclists. Explore the beauty of the greater Monterey Bay while journeying car-free and free-solo, with rough roads and gravel, overnight, to Big Sur. Early Bird launch and late day Sunday finish at Grant Park Community Center, Los Altos. Expect full sun, heavy motorist traffic, (with the latter oftentimes great for us, as we bypass blocked motorists), some of whom may even ask you for help or direction. Ride Start: Upper parking lot of the Lexington Elementary School in Los Gatos. Today is supposed to get to 93 d. in the shade, well over 103 d. in the sun, and even worse on the back side of Hamilton. So we will have to do our Summer Fitness Route in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Even though this is only 11K+ feet, it almost seems tougher than our Mt. Ham DRT. If you are still thirsty for more punishment at the end of the ride, you can still pick up Black, Montevina, Aldercroft, or any of the goats in the area. Jennifer will lead the faster cyclists in front. Melanie will lead from behind. The Death Ride is 4 weeks away, so stay strong, people, stay strong! 13-06-2026 07:30:00 13-06-2026 09:30:00 6 ACTC: Summer DRT Fitness Series 100 mi, 5 LM , 13,211 ft: Ride Start: Upper parking lot of the Lexington Elementary School in Los Gatos. Summer Solstice
Join us as we celebrate the Summer Solstice - the longest day of the year and our June birthdays! Meet at 8:45 AM for sign-in, with a 9:00 AM rollout from the public parking lot by the pickleball courts at Frank Bramhall Park on Britton Avenue.

We'll enjoy a short, flat social ride to downtown Los Gatos for pastries and coffee at Manresa Bread, then head back to the park.

After the ride, we'll continue the festivities with a potluck BBQ picnic next to the pickleball courts from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Whether you join us for the ride, a few games of pickleball, the picnic, or all of the above, come celebrate the start of summer with friends and fellow riders. Happy birthday to all of our June celebrants. We look forward to celebrating with you! 20-06-2026 09:00:00 20-06-2026 11:00:00 6 ACTC: Flat Coffee Ride & Post-ride Potluck BBQ 18 mi, 1 L , 600 ft: Join us as we celebrate the Summer Solstice - the longest day of the year and our June birthdays! Birthday Ride
Starting at 10:00 pdt (i.e. ~3 hrs. before solar noon) from Diridon Transit Center, we will head N on Guadalupe River Trail for spectacular sights. This area is very public transit friendly. As usual, if you bring your "sorrisi" (smiles) and "racconti" (stories), we will stop for "spuntini" (snacks). I can adjust my speed to accommodate slower riders. Please bring your tools for any unfortunate events, and check the rides bulletin for any last-minute updates. If you think you might be late, call/txt me and I can wait a reasonable amount of time.
