Cachagua Rd - 14 miles, 1030 feet

Both ends of this road connect up with Carmel Valley Rd, making it possible to do a loop, starting from Carmel Valley Village. There is a nice little store along this road.

Carmel Valley Rd - 18.3 miles, 2370 feet (from Carmel Valley Village to summit)

Carmel Valley Village has places to get food/water. At the far end, there is a store on Arroyo Seco Rd about a quarter mile downhill from the junction. There is also a store midway on Cachagua Rd if you decide to take this scenic detour. There is more traffic the closer you get to the Highway 1 end, and very little traffic on the far end.

Laureles Grade - 3.4 miles, 1070 feet

Laureles Grade is a Billygoat in either direction. Being a through road, it can be combined with others to make a nice loop. Carmel Valley Village is 2 miles from the south end, and there are other places near the north end also.

Robinson Canyon Rd - 5.0 miles, 1400 feet

There is a Safeway shopping center adjacent to the junction with Carmel Valley Rd. This is an out and back road, with the top of the Billy Goat at 5.0 miles. Extra credit when you continue on to the end.

San Juan Grade - 4.2 miles, 810 feet

Food/water can be found in San Juan Bautista, on the north end of this road. There are no services close to the south end. Crazy Horse Canyon Rd connects to Old Stage Rd for routes going south, but effectively dead-ends on busy Hwy 101 for anyone trying to go northwest.
