*** IMPROMPTU RIDE FOR STATS CREDIT *** This loop, called King Ridge, is often on the Levi Leipheimer Grand Fondo. We will drive to Monte Rio to start. It is 55 miles long with 5000 feet of climbing. It features expansive vineyards, dense redwood forests, and a breathtaking cruise to the ocean. Andrew Talansky said of this ride, "It's a stunning ride. You have a little bit of everything. Rural roads with no traffic. Rolling hills. And my favorite part is the drop back down to the ocean—you can see it from miles away and before you know it, you are right there next to the Pacific. It's incredible." Some riders will do this loop faster than others. Molly will be doing it on the slow side, so please do not let the climbing scare you. We will get 'er done, all the while having a beautiful ride!
